Manual for HP 427A meter. Compliments of A. B. Bonds. Note from A. B.: The HP427A is (gasp) sand-state, but is a very common general test meter that is often available for $5 or $10 and, once fixed up, I have found it to be a very accurate and reliable meter. The analog feature is of course essential for aligning boatanchors, which is the tie-in if there has to be one. Nearly every one of these that I have found requires replacement of R13, a 10.15 ohm resistor on the ohms range switch. This is because some meathead has tried to put volts into the meter when it is on the ohms range. 73 A. B. Bonds
