    • Well, Google's 'advertising optimization' has now become so distracting as to trick people into visiting other sites. So I have removed advertising until I can find a better solution. One option may be sponsorship, anyone interested?
  • Sponsorship!
    • We are very graitful to Neill, who supports BAMA in gratitute with his financial support
      • It's free to use, but every little amount helps keep it that way!

Notes from the contributor:

Although this is a CB I like it for several reasons:

  1. It is crystal controlled and will convert to the 10 meter band simply by changing crystals, no other action is necessary.

  2. It is from circa 1970 when stuff was well made and was easy to work on.

  3. It is made in a metal case (enamelled steel), which makes it rugged.

  4. It may be run from an external power supply.

  5. The circuit board incorporates a plug-in jumper to connect to the telescoping antenna. This jumper is easy to remove and a length of RG-174 (mini flex coax) may be plugged in here to facilitate the connection of an external 50 Ohm antenna. (Or even an amp!).

  6. Although there is no test jumper for the microphone, it is also easy to facilitate an external connection using RG-174.
