How To Tell The Difference Between A Polytronics 6 “A” or “C”
The “A” schematic with 2 nuvistors (RF stage) and a 6AW8 1st mixer/IF Amp. Later production units used the “C” schematic with 3 nuvistors. Two in the RF stages and 1st mixer (this one used a 13CW4) and IF Amp is now a 6BJ6. There probably were some other minor circuit differences.
